My Phone

This is the third times I been con by my phone!!!

This incident follow as below:

Usually everyday Sunday I will go temple. This morning I am suppose to wake up at 7.45am to prepare myself get ready before Doreen come and fetch me. However, my phone clock show around 7.30am, I receive an miss call and my housemate shouted my name. I do not know what is happening until I call back and realise the time is already 8.45am but my phone still at 7.45am. This happen due my phone automatic change the time zone where day light saving is over and time difference with Malaysia is 1.5 hour. Actually the real time to adjust is starting next Sunday but my phone already change itself. Therefore, I am running late this morning.

Arghh... When I first came to Adelaide since 2008, my phone also change the time itself and I wake up early on Sunday. That time not only me where orange also cheated by his phone and came early to city.

I just don't know why even tough I have select option not to automatic update the time zone, BUT it still change!!! Haiz...

Anyway just to remind everyone that the day light saving adjustment starting NEXT WEEK!! Remember to set your clock before you sleep.

拜天公

昨天是农历正月初八，我被邀请到我朋友的家去拜年。 由于我朋友是福建人，所以她们家有拜天公。当晚，她的父母准备拜天公所须的材料如甘蔗，水果，一壶茶，发糕，烧猪，烧鸭等等。。。 凌晨12点一到，天公诞仪式开始。 我们每人给予三枝香来拜天公保佑，然后我们可以听到凡是家里有拜天公都会放鞭炮，热闹极了！！





这仪式的历史由来是怎样的呢？？

传说明朝时一年的农历新年，倭寇在福建沿海一带，杀人放火，抢夺财物，乡民扶老携幼逃命。乡民在黑夜中逃到一处偏僻郊野时，眼见倭寇就要追上，大家感到万分惊恐，突然前面出现一大片蔗林，乡民便逃入蔗林躲避，避过倭寇，逃过鬼门关。这天正是大年初九，逃出生天的乡民都认为这是天公救命，于是每年的大年初九凌晨便祭拜天公，以谢救命之恩。而拜甘蔗也具有不忘蔗林藏身救命之恩。另一传说是，古时有一名孟将军，他到某个地方，只要喝了当地的水，就会讲当地的话，他就以这门本事辨别汉人。可是他到了福建，手下竟然拿了外省的水给他喝，结果他一直不懂讲福建话。他便以为福建人不是汉人，就下令大开杀戒，福建人枉死无数。到了大年初九那天，从外省运来的水喝光了，孟将军才喝到福建的水，会讲起福建话，这时他才知道杀错人，马上下令封刀。而福建人认为这是天公所赐，让他们逃过大劫，便在初九凌晨拜天公谢恩。

Technology

Nowadays as the technology getting more advance, I have learn something new yesterday where using microscope to view your blood and indicate bad things in your body. The microscope can enlarge 5000 times and connect with a television so you can view your the component contains in the blood.Therefore,by using this method can accurately showing the unhealthy blood cell of your body.

Whole family have been tested except my brother because he did not went together with us. The result are very shocking where my red blood cell not healthy and lining all together. The chinese medicine doctor say that I have a bad memory and easily get tired after study for 1 to 2 hour since the red blood cell cannot get enough of oxygen. Besides in my blood there are lots of fat including cholesterol in my blood !! He also mention that my liver also not good because can see platelet cell lining like spider web but this condition I have was still not that bad because there are other patients with serious condition where the spider web lining see very clearly surround the blood and hardening. I am being advised to sleep early because liver unable to carry the process detoxification during 11-1pm. Hence, this causes skin not good.

Overall still other comments about my health but cannot remember. =p As for my two sister, they also tested their blood and it shown that they were higher chances getting diabetes so now required them to avoid having sweet stuffs in their diet.Of course as the outcome from this clinical testing, we were given some chinese medication to eat so can improve our health.

Hair Cut

I have my hair cut since last year before going back to Adelaide for new semester start. Now about one year never cut my hair and it is quite long and thick. Today i just go salon to cut hair, at first wanted to cut hair but the owner of the shop say need to straighten my hair because easy to maintain. This method required longer time to do and only one person can cut hair by the boss while there are lots of people waiting for him to serve them. Therefore, my hair are thick and not neat so become my mother cut her hair where the boss suggested perm her hair just need one hour. The boss told me to come back on Monday since there are not many customer.

After that, we went back home and my father asked me why I did not cut my hair. Once the reason been told, he said that he don't like my hair to be straighten because last time I did it but not nice. Ended up my mother bring me to another salon. Haha...

Originally plan to cut short but because the hair dresser say not nice to cut short, in the end just cut thinner and let it grow longer. This will be the 1st time starting to grow long hair. Since primary school my hair was cut short and grow until the length of my shoulder is the longest.

Back Home

NOW already year of 2010!!
Time flies doesn't it??? This year May we are having Cultural Concert with the theme of 'Colours of Vesak'. Recently been busy preparing for the concert activity, everyone put in a lot efforts in planning it. Hopefully we can provide the audience feel worth to attend the concert.

Yesterday I just from Adelaide back to Malaysia. Original plan I cannot go back since my parent do not wanted me to back where the air ticket are expensive. Anyway after chatting several times with my mum trying to persuade them let me go back, finally i able to do so. Now I am able to stay with my family to celebrate Chinese New Year!! =) This trip I have give a surprise to my friends because I told them that I will not coming back until I have graduate. hehe =p

Although back in home country, our mission for those back besides enjoying holiday are required to search for costume and accessories for the concert because is cheap to get here instead of spend in aussie dollar. HAHA!! We also finding sponsor for the concert, so anyone wanted to contribute by sponsoring us will be appreaciate!! ^^

There is also short film contest still on going until APRIL 2010. The theme is based on buddhism and everything need to be English. Storyline can be narrative or documentary so up to your creativity. Anyone interested can emailed rushiyouthgroup@yahoo.com for more details.

Christmas Eve 2009

It has been long time i never updated my blog since after i am done with final exam.
Time flies where 1 month gone and 2010 is coming. During holidays basically i just sending friends off in the airport, hanging with friend which staying back in adelaide if not just stay home.

Christmas eve i was invited to a friend house. Luckily that day me and shee hwa went early, we help mandy to prepare the food for that night party. I also decided to make my bread again since during the making bread for assignment was not a success.

When we wanted to start cooking for dinner, we all realized that the stove was not functioning. BUT luckily the bread was in the oven before the whole stove not working and manage to bake the bread. haha..

Mandy decided to cook the food using rice cooker so at last everything turned out to be good. phew~~~ Furthermore, maybe the oven is different from my house and the bread is soft and nice to eat!! The host of the day mentioned after eating homemade bread do not wanted to eat other bread. hehe =p
